How do I complete my tenant application?

Your tenant application is a crucial and mandatory step in getting your sale-leaseback. Completing the application quickly and accurately will help ensure that your closing takes place on time.

Here are some tips on how to complete each section of your tenant application!

Getting to your application

Login to your Truehold Homebase account at https://homebase.truehold.com/. If your application is ready, you'll see an active task called "Tenant application".

Click on the "Start" button to get started.

Applicant overview

The first page of the application will show all the residents of the home that we currently know about. Once each applicant has completed their portion of the application, the "Submit application" button will become active.

Adding a resident

πŸ’‘ Quick tip: All residents of the home who are 18 and older will need to be here. If they are not, click on "Add another resident" to add and save them.

After you click on "Add another resident", you will be prompted to enter the name and contact information of the new resident.

You will also be asked to select if the applicant is a Leaseholder or an Occupant.

  • Leaseholders are financially responsible for the lease. Their proof of income will be required to complete the application.

  • Occupants are children or parents living with the leaseholders. They will still answer questions about their leasing history but will not be asked about their income.

Once complete, click on "Next".

This will take you back to the Applicant Overview page. Once the new applicant is ready, you'll see the "Get Started" button next to the applicant.

Completing the application

Contact information

On the first page of the application, you will verify your contact information, date of birth, and employment status.

Employment and income

If you specified that you are employed, the next page of the application will ask you to verify your employer and upload your paystubs.

  • If you are paid weekly, please upload 4 paystubs.

  • If you are paid bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly, please upload 2 paystubs.

  • If you are self-employed, please upload your two most recent tax filings.

Regardless of your employment status, you will also be asked if you'd like to add any other income to your application.

πŸ’‘ Quick tip: The more sources of income you add, the stronger your application but keep in mind that only sources of income accompanied by uploaded proof will count towards your application.

Leasing history

The last section of the application is to answer a few questions about your leasing history and to provide consent for a soft credit check and background check. As a soft credit pull, the credit check will not affect your credit score. fect your credit score.

Submitting your application

Once all the applicants have their information saved, the "Submit application" button will become active. Once you submit, the information is sent to our team and you've completed your tenant application!
